Visit one of the smallest wineries in Spain
Miguel is at the helm of vine cultivation, which, along with almond and fig trees, has a millennial tradition in the Contraviesa region of Granada. This winery is a firm commitment, filled with passion and love for everything the world of wine represents in this area. It is possibly one of the smallest wineries in Spain, but it produces successful, high-quality wines with the Denomination of Origin “Vinos de Granada.” The winery is located in Rambla Huarea, right on the border with Almería, but as it belongs to Granada, the owner wanted to pay homage to our poet Federico, naming his wines "Poet in New York" and "Aurora" (now we know what Lorca would toast with). It is located in the municipality of Albuñol, which belongs to the Costa Tropical of Granada, and due to its rugged terrain and coastal climate, these grapes produce a very distinctive wine, as this variety called Vigiriega is only produced in this area and the Canary Islands. To access this unique spot, you must drive through the rambla for about 4 km, so we recommend using a vehicle that is not too low.Upon arrival, Miguel will welcome us, and we will be able to visit his vines as he explains the types of grapes he cultivates and how he protects his harvest. We will then proceed to the winery, where he will explain how he makes his wines and the peculiarities of his vintages. We will conclude with a tasting session accompanied by tapas made from local products. We recommend attending the activity with comfortable shoes and clothing, as we will be walking on the terrain. It is necessary to inform us of any allergies or intolerances so that we can adjust the tapas accordingly. Discover a unique setting with unique wines, guided by a professional as genuine as Miguel. We look forward to seeing you in one of the most unique corners of our Costa Tropical!
