Tasting in the vineyard. Gratias winery.

Gratias is a family and artisan winery, whose project is the recovery of indigenous varieties such as bobal and pintaillo (ink) and tardna (white), in danger of extinction.We are located in the Ribera del Cabriel (Manchuela), which has recently been declared a Biosphere Reserve. It is the area that connects the Valencian Community with Castilla la Mancha. It has a very Mediterranean character, since pine, rosemary and thyme predominate in the landscape.Today, our rural area is in danger, since there is no relief for farmers because the price of grapes is very low. Old vineyard is removed to plant young and produce more, but this entails a very large varietal loss.We will welcome you at the entrance of the winery next to the small representation of our landscape.In this experience, we will enjoy the best environment while we taste 3 of our wines and talk about their production.- Rose (100% bobal, light red wine). The grape grows in a concrete field, which is pruned for rosé and harvested on a specific day.- Got (100% bobal, red blended in jars) It is fermented in stainless steel and aged in recovered jars.- Sol (100% late, 1/3 of the wine goes through a clay jar) It is harvested after the inks. It is a late cycle variety.All of them accompanied by 2 tapas; delicious Manchego olives and torreznos from the area.Children: free.
