Ecotourism in Malgrat, Barcelona

Xavier, biologist and ornithologist, will guide you on a special outing where you will discover the three habitats of Malgrat de mar.We will start the day at the mouth of the river Tordera. With the telescope and binoculars we will observe the lively bird life during the morning. Then we will visit the dunes of the Pomareda beach where we will observe birds and the characteristic fauna of the area and the aquatic animals that inhabit it.To complete the day, we will go to the agricultural area of Malgrat, the Pla de Grau, to continue enjoying the nature and to discover this extensive protected agricultural area, where they grow vegetables such as potatoes, lettuces, escarole, tomatoes... and the star product: the Ganxet bean with Protected Denomination of Origin (DOP).A very enriching morning to connect with nature and observe it in a different way at the same time as you practice sport, as we will be travelling by bicycle. To complete the experience, a Mediterranean menu with local products awaits you at the restaurant of our friends, Celia and Santi. A cuisine that combines tradition with new trends.
