Visit Heraclio winery in Alfaro

The winery Comañía de vinos Heraclio is located in Alfaro, the heart of the Eastern Rioja, a region with a great winemaking tradition. It was founded in the 1970s and since 2018 it has been part of the Terras Gauda group.The past of Finca Estarijo comes alive as we take in the winery building: in the early 20th century, this estate was home to the El Estarijo airfield, and the building itself resembles an old aircraft hangar. The winery is surrounded by 110 hectares of land planted with diverse grape varieties, fruit trees, and olive groves.After this introduction at the vineyard, we’ll step inside the winery to learn about the winemaking process. Following a visit to thebarrel room, you’ll enjoy a tasting of Heraclio Alfaro and Heraclio Alfaro Garnacha, accompanied by a light appetizer.
