Self Guided Biking Holiday in La Rioja

Magical e-bike tours in Spain’s most beautiful wine region. 5 days, 4 nights and 3 days of biking.Beyond the Basque Country, the neighbouring region of Rioja holds a special place in our hearts. As well as being stunningly beautiful and offering incredible food and wine experiences, it’s also very accessible. It’s nestled between the Cantabrian Mountains and the Ebro River just an hour’s drive from Bilbao and an hour and a half from San Sebastián, with cycling distances between villages. You pedal on bike paths, through the vineyards on gravel roads and paved tractor roads and also on smaller country roads without traffic. The stages are between 25 and 40 kilometres long and designed by us so that you can see as much as possible of the beautiful rolling countryside along the way, visit pleasant little villages and also enjoy entertaining cycling while your luggage is transported between the accommodation. We recommend an electric bike, but of course you can also ride a ‘normal’ bike if you want a little more resistance.Biking on your own is something we highly recommend and this trip is the fruit of our experience, solid knowledge and good contacts in the area.
