1. Never say no to “ir a tomar el vermú”
“Tomar el vermú” (literally, “to drink vermouth”) means spending quality time with family and friends and enjoying some tasty tapas and a drink before lunch. Tapas are small portions of food that are served with drinks. Take a seat on a café terrace in the sunshine and get ready to try the tortilla de patatas (Spanish potato omelette), jamón ibérico (Iberian ham), croquetas caseras (homemade croquettes) and pescaíto frito (small, deep-fried fish).
