Bike, Birds & Beach: Albufera De Valencia Y Río Jucar

Pedal 3 days through the Albufera Natural Park and along the Júcar river. During a 'birding safari' with a nature expert, you will look for special birds, plants or dragonflies ... You will spend 2 nights at La Alquería de Vilches, an attractive ** hotel among the rice fields near the sea and the beach. In the evening, relax and enjoy dining on the patio and take time for yoga or enjoy the spa with massage (not included).Our bikes are equipped with GPS and saddlebags. Or if you prefer we can transport your luggage.The entire area is at sea level; It's easy to pedal even for excited children. For the little ones, we have chairs or the Follow Me Tandem.The Albufera Natural Park is an area with a unique ecosystem. It has dunes, a beach, a Mediterranean forest, lakes and rice fields. The abundance of water is a magnet for migratory birds. Our official guide explains everything about birds and their habitat.Day1 | 35 - 45 kmYou will cross the dunes towards an inland lake, directly behind the coast. Our guide will take you to various places within the ecosystem.You will also go to the visitor centre of the Natural Park and the observation cabin.After the 'safari' you can eat an authentic paella (not included). Finally, you will go through the rice fields to the hotel: a cosy farmhouse located just a few minutes from the beach.Day 2 | 35-60kmToday you will bike to Sueca, the epicentre of the rice culture. In this city, you will find a series of beautiful buildings from the beginning of the 20th century, the era of 'Modernism'. You will cross the Júcar river, and you will cross the levees through the citrus groves and the flood plains towards the coast (we offer several options to extend or shorten the route).Day 3 | 35-55 kmThe last stage is to return to Valencia through the Muntanyeta dels Sants and the Albufera lake where you can take a boat ride (+ € 6).We can also organize an extension in Valencia, including hotel and a guided bike
