Lagunas del Sur de Cordoba Natural Reserve

Located in the southern part of the province of Cordoba, surrounding the towns of Lucena, Aguilar de la Frontera, Puente Genil, Baena and Luque, it is made up of the permanent lagoons of Zóñar, Rincón and Amarga, and the seasonal lagoons of Tíscar, Jarales and Salobral.

La Gomera Biosphere Reserve

With an area of 369 square kilometres, it is the second smallest of the Canary Islands. It was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2012.

Posets-Maladeta Nature Reserve

The Posets-Maladeta Natural Park is a mountain range located in the northeasternmost part of the Aragonese Pyrenees. This area is home to some of the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula. It is one of the most representative areas of the high Pyrenean mountains and boasts a high level of ecological, landscape and natural diversity.

Despeñaperros Natural Park

The famous Despeñaperros Gorge, with its nearly vertical cliff walls, is the result of the waters of the river of the same name.

Marjal de Pego-Oliva Natural Park

The Marjal de Pego-Oliva is located between the provinces of Alicante and Valencia. The western half belongs to Pego (Alicante) and the eastern half to Oliva (Valencia). In this area there are dunes, malladas (saline depressions), rivers and farmlands.

Mondragó Natural Park

The Mondragó Natural Park is located on the island of Mallorca. The vegetation in the area is notable for its diversity and the fauna is especially interesting for its aquatic birds.

Gorbeia Natural Park

This natural park is located in the Basque Country, between the provinces of Álava and Vizcaya and has as its summit Mount Gorbeia (1,482 meters), the highest elevation in both and one of the most popular destinations for Basque hikers. Its landscapes, as well as its diversity of flora and fauna, have a special beauty about them.

La Palma Biosphere Reserve

La Palma is a veritable showcase for the vegetation of the Canary Islands. Two nature reserves and the Caldera de Taburiente National Park are clear proof of the island's enormous natural wealth. La Palma was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2002, and is a stargazing destination for the Starlight Foundation.
