Alcalá de Xivert

Alcalà de Xivert is located within the historic land of El Maestrazgo, to the north of the province of Castellon.

Alcanar

Alcanar is located about 40 kilometres from the Delta del Ebro Natural Park.

Alcañiz

Alcañiz belongs to the “route of the tambour”, so-called because of the presence of drums on two consecutive days during the Holy Week celebrations.

Alcaraz

Renaissance art in its historic old town. Alcaraz, some 80 kilometres from Albacete, is outstanding for the monuments in its historic old town.

Alcázar de San Juan

Famous for its carnival, which is declared a tourist event of regional tourist, Alcázar de San Juan is a traditional village of the La Mancha region, with major ancestral homes from the 17th-19th centuries and some windmills.

Los Alcázares

Los Alcázares is on the edge of the Mar Menor, and boasts seven kilometres of beach. It is an ideal place for water sports.

Alcora

L’Alcora, the gateway to the district of L’Alcalatén, is one of the main tile-producing centres of Castellón.

Alcossebre

Being so close to both the sea and the mountains is what gives this little town in Castellón its distinctive character. Between the Costa del Azahar and the inland Maestrat region lies Alcalá de Xivert-Alcossebre, a municipality where the sea and the mountains make for a landscape of contrasts.

Alcoy-Alcoi

Alcoy is a Mediterranean city in an attractive natural setting flanked by two nature reserves, the Serra de Mariola and Font Roja.

Alcúdia

One of its main attractions is La Albufera, a nature reserve created in 1988.

Alfaro

Alfaro is in the Region of La Rioja, northern Spain, washed by the waters of the Ebro and Alhama Rivers.

Algeciras

Its location, on the eastern end of the Algeciras Bay, across from Gibraltar, has made it one of the most important ports in Europe, for both passengers and merchandise.

Algodonales

The town of Algodonales, one of the famous white towns of Cadiz, is on the route from the north to the Nature Reserve of the Sierra de Grazalema mountains. Its old town has been declared Property of Cultural Interest.

Algorta (Getxo)

In El Abra bay, in Bilbao estuary, we find the municipality of Getxo. Algorta is situated there: a town with an old fishing port, modern water sports facilities and beautiful small palaces near the beach.

Alhama de Granada

This town's name has its origins in the famous baths and thermal waters, well known back in Roman times. The town is just 58 kilometres from the city of Granada. It is set in beautiful mountainous surroundings, with charming white houses, impressive as they cling to the side of a steep gorge.

Allariz

Allariz, declared to be a Historic-Artistic Site, sits in a river landscape formed by the upper course of the Arnoia. Major religious buildings stand on the streets of a typically medieval town surrounded by forests of chestnut trees.

Almagro

Almagro is located in the province of Ciudad Real, in the region of Campo de Calatrava, and has been recognised as being home to historic and artistic heritage. The history of this town in La Mancha is closely linked to the history of theatre, as can be seen in its Corral de Comedias theatre, the National Theatre Museum and the International ...

Almansa

The most remarkable feature of Almansa is its impressive castle, built on top of a great rock that crowns the city. Of Arab origin, this castle was rebuilt by Don Juan Manuel in the 14th century.

Almazán

Sitting on the banks of the river Duero, the town of Almazán owes its name to the Arabs. It has remains of a wall, two entrance gates –Mercado and Herreros- and several churches.

Almendralejo

Almendralejo, the nerve centre of Tierra de Barros, gets its name from its original settlement, on land full of almond trees.

Almonaster La Real

An Arab castle, Mudéjar and Gothic houses and a mosque form part of the urban hub of Almonaster la Real, which has been declared as a historic and artistic site.

Almonte

The most significant attractions here are: The Rocío pilgrimage, Doñana National Park and Matalascañas Beach.

Alquézar

A wealth of historical heritage against a beautiful natural setting. Alquézar is located in Huesca, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, within the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park.

Altafulla

Town on the Costa Daurada, province of Tarragona, known for its charming and beautiful old quarter.

Altea

As we approach the town by car, Altea's historic quarter appears against the monumental backdrop of Sierra Bernia, offering a gorgeous panoramic view.

Alzira

The typically mild and temperate Mediterranean climate means the inhabitants of Alzira are able to celebrate numerous festivals.

Amposta

At the southern end of the Costa Daurada is Amposta, one of the most traditional towns on the mouth of the river Ebro. Proximity to the Ebro Delta Nature Reserve makes it a favourite destination of nature lovers.

Ampudia

Ampudia, situated in the area known as Tierra de Campos, 22 kilometres from the city of Palencia, is a beautiful example of typical Castilian architecture and urban layout. Its old quarter has the Property of Cultural Interest designation.

Andratx

Located 28 km away from Palma, this town is surrounded by pines and almond trees, under the shade of Galatos Peak.

Antequera

Antequera is a wealthy town, both culturally and economically. Its historic centre is made up of more than 50 monuments and buildings dating as far back as the Bronze Age, such as the Menga Cave, Viera and Romeral dolmens.

Antigua

Antigua is one of the most important towns on Fuerteventura.

Aracena

Aracena is in the north of Huelva province, in the mountain range Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche.

Aranda de Duero

This large town in the province of Burgos first became prosperous during the reign of Henry IV of Castile, in the late 15th century.

Archena

The spa town of Archena, a place of significant archaeological finds, is in the heart of Murcia's market garden country, surrounded by the mountains of the pretty Valle de Ricote and 23 kilometres from the city of Murcia.

Arcos de la Frontera

Sitting on a spectacular sheer cliff, Arcos de la Frontera is a picturesque town in the province of Cadiz full of small reminders of its Arab inheritance.

Arenys de Mar

On Costa del Maresme, between the Mediterranenan Sea and Barcelona's Sierra Litoral, we find this traditional fishing town.
