Almería Cathedral

This is the first temple in Almeria designed for use as a fortress-temple. It is built in a predominantly Gothic style, and was originally intended to defend the town against attacks by pirates.

Construction was originally begun in the Romanesque style, but the project was subsequently taken over by the master architect Fruchel, who built one of the first Gothic cathedrals in Spain.

Calahorra cathedral
