Festivals in Spain in September
September is the month of traditional grape harvest festivals in Spain. The different activities, exhibitions and tastings organised during these festivities are a perfect opportunity to learn more about the culture of wine, one of Spain’s best-known products. Some of the most widely recognised are those held in Jerez and Logroño. The last weeks of the summer are also the time when some of the most important annual festivals take place, such as the Festes de la Mercè in Barcelona and the Feria de Albacete. September is also the month for different festivities where diverse historical events are recreated or staged, like the Fiestas de Carthagineses y Romanos, and the Fiestas del Motín in Aranjuez.
