WOS Festival

As it does every September, this festival of contemporary art in Santiago de Compostela offers an artistic and musical itinerary set against the backdrop of more than a dozen unique venues in the city’s old town. 

With a programme as diverse as it is original, blending electronic music, performance art and urban trends, this cultural event stands out for its innovative approach and was named Best Indoor Festival in Europe at the 2018 European Festival Awards. WOS has played host to avant-garde music performers and experimental creators, such as Los Thuthanaka, Djrum, Tarta Relena, Laurel Halo, Klein and Actress, offering new sounds and artistic expressions. Furthermore, the setting of the various monuments and cultural sites used as venues adds to the spectacular nature of the artistic activities on offer. In addition to the live performances, there is also a full programme of film screenings, talks and creative workshops.
