Inaugurated in 2023, the elBulli museum in Cala Montjoi is a space covering nearly 4,000 square metres to reflect on the knowledge, innovation and history of the restaurant where the renowned chef Ferran Adrià revolutionised the way of understanding cuisine.
It is the world's first restaurant turned museum, located in a unique ecosystem, in the heart of Cap de Creus Nature Reserve, in Girona, and which aims to generate quality content for education and self-guided learning in gastronomic catering.A tour running just over two hours explains the history of elBulli as a company, as well as all the projects that the elBullifoundation foundation is involved in. The museum is open to the public from May to October, and the rest of the year, it is dedicated to researching, experimenting and disseminating the content developed in collaborative projects with multidisciplinary teams.Another of the museum's objectives is to show how, when the restaurant was operating, it applied systematic innovation to the language of cuisine and explored the limits of the culinary experience.
