La Salinas de Santa Pola Natural Park
Santa Pola Salt Lakes
The Santa Pola salt flats are located in the province of Alicante. Two zones can be distinguished: salt extraction in one area, and marshland, dunes, and cultivated land in the other.
The fauna and flora of Las Salinas de Santa Pola Natural Park has adapted to the humidity and high salinity of the area. In this regard, it is worth noting the large number of flamingos found there.
