Salt Mountain Cultural Park
A site of great geological value
Inaugurated in 2003 and covering an area of 100 hectares, this space is located around the Cardona Salt Valley, formerly known as the Salí. The value of the Salt Mountain stands out, as it contains a great diversity of minerals.
For years, the Salt Mountain Cultural Park was one of the most important potassium salt mining sites in the world in relation to the Nieves de Cardona Mine. This tourist area now facilitates the dissemination of the importance of this mineral, as well as the unique geology of the site and its historical use.
