A landscape of dunes
On the island of Fuerteventura, in the municipality of Corralejo, you will find this park – a sandy expanse of great geomorphological integrity and enormous scientific interest.
Corralejo Natural Park is a vast dune field that stretches along the northeast coast of Fuerteventura, roughly from Puerto Remedios beach in the town of Corralejo in the north to the southern boundary of the Montaña Roja volcanic cone. This habitat is rich in protected native species.

Cultural information
Corralejo was once a fishing village. Today, its residents earn their living in the tourism sector. It has some of the most spectacular beaches in the Canary Islands, from which you can reach the islet of Lobos by boat, also a nature reserve.

The flora is typical of this type of ecosystem, and the fauna is made up of seabirds and waders, reptiles and invertebrates, especially beetles.

Information for visits
The tourist office in the town of Corralejo, part of the municipality of La Oliva, offers information and is located at Avenida Marítima No. 16 in Corralejo. The dunes can be visited from various points along the FV-104 highway, but only by following designated trails.
