Spain has nearly 8,000 km of coastline. Along this enormous stretch of land are some of the most charming towns and villages in Europe. If you’re going to plan a tour, it’s a good idea to concentrate on a particular area. Whether the north of the country or the Mediterranean coast, you’ll find quaint towns and villages with narrow streets and lively fishing ports. If you decide to start your trip with a visit to the Atlantic coast, there are some places that are not to be missed.

Muros, Galicia

Muros offers a wide variety of historical and artistic heritage. We recommend following the Paseo de la Marina all the way to the harbour and the fish market.

Cudillero, Asturias

Cudillero is a village full of brightly coloured “Indiano” houses, built by emigrants returning from the Americas.

Hondarribia, Basque Country

Hondarribia is a medieval fortified town set on a hillside, with Baroque buildings that give it a unique charm. There are also a number of irresistible little spots hidden along the Mediterranean coast.

Cadaqués, Catalonia

Cadaqués was a great source of inspiration for Salvador Dalí. Switch off your phone, wander the whitewashed back streets and enjoy one of the most spectacular towns on the Spanish coast.

Tabarca, Region of Valencia

This islet is barely 45 hectares in size and can only be reached by sea from a few places on the Costa Blanca. It is a beautiful historical setting with around 100 houses inside a fortress.

Mojácar, Andalusia

The most charismatic element of this village is its white houses spread across the top of the mountain. Mojácar is delightful! This list could have been much longer, but we’re sure that you will not be disappointed by these unique, beautiful places.  Plan your route now and start enjoying yourself!
