Located deep into the gorge formed by Mundo river, in a unique and rough natural setting, we find Ayna, one of the most picturesque towns in the area.
Because of its special location, and in order to take advantage of the limited available surface, the people of Ayna have dug terraces on the mountain sides for farming. As an example of the town's historic-artistic heritage, we must mention the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, whose most prominent feature is the Mudejar coffered ceiling that covers its nave, and the Castle of Yedra, of Islamic origin, located in the outskirts of the town. As we leave the town we come to Diablo Mirador, highly recommended because of the spectacular panoramic views that it provides. Also interesting is the cave of Niño, with Paleolithic paintings.
