The Cabo de Gata – Níjar Natural Park is one of the maritime-terrestrial parks in Spain affected by the largest number of protection figures, since in addition to being a Natural Park it is also a Biosphere Reserve, Geopark and Special Protection Area for Birds.The large number of ecological values ​​have made this area one of the most representative ecosystems of the arid zones of the south-east of the Spanish peninsula.
