Cordoba city walls
					Córdoba

			The city's defence.
Today only parts of the Arab wall that surrounded and fortified the city remain, along with some of the gates.
Gateways surviving in the wall are: Seville Gate ( 14th century), located between Puerta de Sevilla street and Avenida del Corregidor; Almodóvar Gate (also known as Nogal Gate), and Puente Gate, next to the Great Mosque-Cathedral, which was rebuilt in the 16th century. Two arches can still be seen in the old town – Portillo and Belén.
