One of Écija's most interesting religious buildings and one of the most renowned examples of Mudejar Gothic in Andalusia.
The church underwent major renovations in the late Renaissance and early Baroque. Dating from the latter period are the tower, sacramental chapel, choir, prayer room, sacristy and cloistered courtyard. The tower, built in 1766, is decorated with tiles showing a local influence. The interior is in Mudejar style. It has an exceptional altarpiece, with paintings and sculptures forming a harmonious artistic composition.
