Campo Valdés Roman Baths

Campo Valdés Roman Baths

Asturias

A major Roman site

This museum is considered to be one of the most important Roman remains in northern Spain. It is located on the site of Roman baths discovered in 1903, although they were not opened to the public until 1965. Visitors can see public baths built between the 1st and 4th centuries, which must have been a meeting place for town residents. Alongside the site you can see archaeological objects and remains that help to understand the construction techniques, daily life, flora and fauna of the time.
