Barjola Museum
Asturias
It is located in the manor house of the Jove-Huergo family and its attached chapel. It has three floors and a façade with the coat of arms of the Hevia, Miranda and Lavandera Valdés families. Inside the new building, you can see the work of Juan Barjola, an expressionist painter from Badajoz, as donated by the artist in the 1980s. The lobby area hosts temporary exhibitions, mainly of sculpture, and all kinds of cultural activities. The service to the public is completed with a periodical library specialising in contemporary art.
