Alicante Provincial Archaeological Museum (MARQ)

The museum offers an interesting historical tour through the rooms of Prehistory, Iberians, Roman Culture, the Middle Ages and Modern and Contemporary Culture.

In its rooms you can see pieces from around 100,000 years ago, Iberian ceramics, a recreation of daily Roman life and more than 300 objects from the Middle Ages. The museum also offers information about the archaeological sites of Lucentum, Petracos and Illeta and thematic rooms on excavations in a church, in a cave and underwater.The MARQ is committed to renewing the most traditional exhibition system and is designed to be the first truly 21st century archaeological museum.
