Pablo Picasso: Structures of Invention. The unity of a work

With this exhibition, the Picasso Museum Málaga invites visitors to discover the work of the Málaga-born artist from a different perspective: showcasing the overall unity of his art rather than dividing it into specific periods or styles.

The exhibition, which brings together 144 works by Picasso, connects all the stages of his production, revealing new connections between his work. All the pieces on display, which include paintings, sculptures, ceramics, drawings and prints, belonged to the artist's private collection and, as a whole, reflect his personality.During the visit, the public can see how his artistic career was built on two seemingly opposing principles: constant innovation and a dialogue with tradition. Thus, Cubism, Classicism and Surrealism are presented as part of the same language in Picasso's extensive creative catalogue.
