Painting from the exhibition: Munch–Picasso

Exhibition: Munch–Picasso

Exhibition
Málaga

This exhibition brings together the painters Edvard Munch and Pablo Picasso for the first time in a dialogue that explores their similarities and their respective roles in the development of contemporary art.The exhibition explores themes that shaped their creative work, such as love, desire, illness, death and loneliness, through more than a hundred paintings, drawings and prints. Notable works include Munch’s *The Murderess* (1906) and Picasso’s *Woman with a Stiletto* (1931), which reflect the emotional intensity and psychological complexity of both artists. The exhibition also explores the social settings of the time, such as cafés and cabarets, which inspired them to find new ways of portraying the individual and their surroundings. It is a great opportunity to discover how these artists transformed our understanding of reality through their artistic vision.
