La Mar de Músicas Festival

The La Mar de Músicas festival is held annually in Cartagena (Murcia) and is one of the most important festivals dedicated to world music.

This festival focuses on folk music from all corners of the globe and, for almost a month, transforms the city into a big festive hub. Around fifty groups and soloists perform on the various stages set up for the festival, an event that embraces all forms of art. Each year, the festival focuses on a specific country, organising talks, exhibitions and other parallel activities centred on different aspects of its culture.
