1. Book in advance
You can buy your ticket up to three months in advance, and we recommend that you do so as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
-

2. Buy your tickets through the official channels
There are two ways to buy a ticket in advance. You can do this via the official website or by calling +34 858889002.
-

3. Choose the correct ticket type
A general admission ticket grants access to all the areas open to visitors. Whereas, a ticket to the gardens, the Generalife and the Alcazaba only grants access to those areas of the complex. In addition, there are three evening tickets: one for the palaces (available all year round), another for the gardens and the Generalife Palace (available from April to November) and a third (the Dobla Oro Nocturna night visit), which combines entry to the palaces with visits to several Al-Andalus monuments in the Albaicín district. The “Alhambra Experiences” ticket includes a night visit the Nasrid Palaces and a daytime visit to the gardens the following day.For its part, the Dobla de Oro tour offers the same experience as the night visit, but during the daytime. There is also a combined Alhambra and Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation ticket. In all cases, the Palace of Charles V and the Alhambra Museum are freely accessible.

4. Please note if you are travelling with children under 12
Free admission is available for these children, but they must have a ticket to gain entry. For children aged 3 to 11, these must be booked at the time of purchase, together with the other adult tickets. However, tickets for children under the age of 3 do not require advance booking, as they are available at the ticket offices or at the monument’s entrances.

5. Plan your visit around the opening hours of the Nasrid Palaces
The tour lasts approximately three hours, and only the Nasrid Palaces have a fixed time slot, which is allocated at the time of purchase and cannot be changed. That is why it is important to organise your visit around those visiting hours. Two routes are recommended: Alcazaba – Palaces – Generalife, or Generalife – Alcazaba – Palaces.Remember these distances: from the entry points to the Alhambra, it takes 15 minutes to reach the Generalife, 17 minutes to reach the Nasrid Palaces and 20 minutes to reach the Alcazaba.

6. Think about how to get to the Alhambra
If you’re travelling by car, please remember that you’ll need to approach via the Ronda Sur, as private vehicles are not permitted to enter from the city centre. Convenient options include taxis and the C30, C32 and C35 city bus routes (journeys of around 15 to 20 minutes from Plaza Isabel La Católica in Granada) or the “Granada City Tour” tourist train. If you decide to walk, it will take you about 20 minutes from the Paseo de los Tristes or from the Plaza del Realejo.
-

7. Digital or printed format, make sure you have your tickets with you
To gain entry, you must bring your ticket with the QR code, either in physical or digital format, and show your ID card or passport. If you wish, you can bring a printed ticket on A4 paper, or the type of ticket available at the ticket offices and ticket machines.Once your identity has been verified on your first visit, you will only need to show your official ID document to enter the other venues.
-

8. If you haven’t bought your ticket yet, you can buy one on the day of your visit
Although we don’t recommend waiting until the last minute, advance booking is available up to two hours before your visit, and you can also buy tickets directly at the monument. There is no guarantee of availability under any circumstances, and tickets purchased at the monument will only be valid for that day. Payment can only be made by credit card (at ticket machines) or in cash (at ticket offices).
