The Forum of Barcelona

Only some ruins remain of this temple consecrated to the Emperor Augustus in the 1st century BC - four columns with Corinthian capitals on a pedestal.

This temple presided over Barcelona's Roman forum, where magistrates conducted their duties and a market was held. It was surrounded by a beautiful garden and was later remodeled in the Gothic period. It is located behind the Cathedral.
