Terrassa: parque de Vall Paradis

The city of Terrassa is located on the edge of Sant Llorenç del Munt Natural Park. In the city centre is Vallparadís, one of the largest urban parks in Spain.

The city of Terrassa preserves most of its heritage, which includes the great Vallparadís Park. Terrassa's City Hall took over its recovery in 1991, aiming to preserve the city's most important green area. Vallparadís is one of the biggest urban parks in Catalonia, having a great influence in the urban growth of the area. Inside the park are some really interesting buildings, such as the Visigothic-Romanesque block that includes the church of Sant Pere, the medieval bridge, the old castle-Carthusian monastery of Vallparadís, the Gothic building of Mas de la Castlania, and numerous archaeological sites. Also within it are the Textile Museum, the hospital of Sant Llàtzer and the new campus of the University of Terrassa.
