La Quinta

Asturias

La Quinta Park extends over irregular terrain which has made it possible to create very clearly defined areas that artfully blend into each other. While the main buildings reflect the taste for small palaces and villas typical of the era when they were designed, the park and the gardens most definitely follow the precepts and requirements of the historic models characteristic of French, Italian and English or landscape gardens. Thus, this is an eclectic, mixed style of garden. One of its parterres leads to an elegant iron and glass greenhouse with three sections. Camellias, rhododendrons, California redwoods, yews and other species make up the large ensemble of trees that embraces and surrounds the buildings. Somewhat further away, the landscape area is laid out around a gentle drop in the terrain through which a small, whimsical river runs, whose source is at the main lake.
