Collegiate Church of Santa María (Gandía)
Valencia-València
La Seu de Gandía.
Originally a mosque and then a church, until 1499 when Pope Alexander VI granted it the rank of Collegiate church.
All that remains of the original Gothic plan is the apse, while the rest of the building is Baroque, having been fully remodelled by the Duchess of Gandía in the 16th century. With a single nave, it is a representative example of Valencian late Gothic. It has two doors, the southern one being the older. The door of the Apostles has sculptures by Damián Forment.
