Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón, the architect of the cathedrals of Salamanca, Segovia and Plasencia, built this church in its entirety in the German Gothic style. It has three naves and a transept. Highlights include the cloister, which conserves three of its galleries and an attractive Mudéjar coffered ceiling, the chapels of Santa Ana and Dulce Nombre de Jesús, and the main altarpiece.
