Penyal D'Ifach


It is located in the town of Calp, in the district of Marina Alta. El Penyal is made up of a Calcareous mass 332 metres high.

This Nature Reserve is linked to the land via a sandy isthmus and has two beaches: Fossa and Cantal Roig. Near this open space you can find the Salt Marsh, transformed into salt flats that are not used anymore.

What you need to know


  • Cultural information

    In Calpe you can admire different buildings of cultural interest, such as Peça Tower, San Salvador Hermitage, the Roman ruins of the Queen's Baths and Cometa hermitage.

  • Environmental information

    The flora is characterized by the shrub vegetation, dotted with aleppo pines.

  • Information for visits

    Access is unrestricted. However, it is best to organise it through the Visitor Centre or the Nature Learning Centre, both in Calpe.
