This Nature Reserve lies between the Alicante towns of Ibi and Alcoi. Carrascal de La Font Roja is a mountain range topped with an authentic Levantine Mediterranean forest.

The fauna in the area is characterized by the presence of mammals, such as the wild boar, genet, wild cat and badger, amongst others. The area is also inhabited by reptiles and birds, such as Bonelli's eagles, golden eagles and vultures.
