The Japanese conceptual artist, a leader of the New York avant-garde movement and one of the most acclaimed artists with the longest career, is featured in her biggest retrospective of the last decade in Spain at MUSAC. Several of the rooms in this Leonese space will be occupied by the multifaceted works of the creator, for example, authentic emblems such as Doors or Parts of a lighthouse. In total, the exhibition will occupy more than 1,700 square metres, the artist's largest exhibition in Spain in the last 10 years.Born in Tokyo in 1933 and a pioneer of performance art, Yoko Ono has been producing striking artistic creations for over seven decades, which seek to question the established and reflect on the human condition, always abounding in absurdity but without neglecting political and sociological problems, such as women's role in society.
