As part of the movement for LGBTQI+ rights, Madrid becomes a gigantic party for a whole week, attracting thousands of people from all over the world.
The streets of many neighbourhoods, especially Chueca (well known for its LGBTQI+ community and open-minded spirit) are filled with outdoor bars, pavement cafés, live music, a wide variety of people all set on having a great time, cultural activities, and more. The highlight of this celebration comes on Saturday, with a mass parade along one of Madrid’s main thoroughfares, from Atocha to Plaza de Colón.
