Benidorm is set to become the capital of this martial art for six days, bringing together thousands of athletes from all over the world.
The unique aspect of this event is that it's a competition between clubs, with medals awarded to competitors in different categories, from children (Pre-Juniors) to veterans. They are competing for the world title in individual and team sparring, forms, special techniques, power breaking, and pre-arranged sparring.The event is organised by the national branch of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, whose philosophy centres on self-defence and discipline, based on principles of courtesy, integrity, perseverance and self-control.
