In addition to medieval theatre performances, parades, tournaments and folk dances are also a highlight
The Festival includes various period events, starting with the theatre performance that takes place in the ruins of the Church of San Pedro, where adaptations of great works of medieval literature are brought to life, such as The Book of Good Love by Juan Ruiz, the famous Archpriest of Hita. But there's more, such as the knightly tournaments in the town's arena; the carnival parades and the botargas of pagan origin, who go through the streets with cowbells and truncheons; the artisan craft market, the visits to typical bodegas and wine cellars, the performances of minstrels and musicians, and much, much more.
