D’A Film Festival

Independent cinema and film d'auteur take centre stage at this ten-day festival held in Barcelona. The D’A Film Festival has established itself as a key event for discovering the most unique offerings on the international scene.

Its programming is characterised by creative freedom and a diversity of perspectives, showcasing productions that challenge the industry’s official standards. Since 2011, this festival has provided an opportunity to watch films by leading figures such as Hong Sang-soo, Céline Sciamma, Quentin Dupieux and Werner Herzog. At the same time, each edition features competition sections for debut films and emerging filmmakers.The experience goes beyond the screening of its films in the venues hosting the festival, which are located in various cultural institutions across Barcelona. It also promotes interaction and dialogue between filmmakers and audiences through panel discussions, masterclasses and professional workshops.
