Cycling: La Quebrantahuesos

Sabiñánigo, a town in the province of Huesca in the north of Spain, is once again hosting ‘La Quebrantahuesos’, a gruelling cycle race in which thousands of riders from all over the world take part.This thrilling endurance event demands a high level of physical fitness from the athletes, due to its altitude, distance and elevation gain. The route passes through several of the most challenging and iconic mountain passes in the Pyrenees, such as Somport, Marie Blanque, Portalet and Hoz de Jaca.The race features two classic distances: The Gran Fondo, covering a distance of 200 kilometres, and the Medio Fondo, known as Treparriscos, covering a total distance of 85 kilometres.
