The Heartbeat of the Coast: Birds and Landscape in Arnao

Explore the cliffs of the Cantabrian Sea and enjoy birdwatching on this route. We invite you to discover a magical corner of western Asturias: the Campo de Arnao route. This coastal walk starts at its well-known recreation area, a natural balcony with privileged views of the endless Cantabrian Sea. Following a peaceful dirt path, you'll enter an environment where a freshwater lagoon teeming with life meets the majestic northern cliffs. We'll reach a key spot on the coast, a true sanctuary for sea and land birds observation. Stop the time, breathe in the salty air, and sharpen your senses to observe them. Bring your binoculars if you have them, although they are not required to enjoy the experience. On the way back, the area awaits you with its comfortable stone picnic tables where you can rest and enjoy the scenery.• Difficulty: easy.• Note: the path is made of dirt, stones, and vegetation, which may make it difficult for strollers or wheelchairs to pass comfortably.
