Salenques Ridge to Aneto 3.404m

The Queen of the Pyrenees ridges. Considered the longest, most classical and defiant, it is an essential milestone for any lover of the heights. The Salenques Tempestats Ridge is one of the most beautiful, complete and elegant activities that can be done in the Pyrenees, where we will combine the approach from Besurta, we will link 10 summits of 3000 meters and culminate on the highest peak of the Pyrenees, the Aneto 3.404 m.We will meet early morning at Llanos del Hospital, to take the bus to the Besurta at 1,900 m. From here we will walk along the valley of Barrancs, and arrive in 3/4h at the Coll de Salenques (2810m), where we will get to start the activity.A long ridge awaits us, a constant progression over scrambling terrain with difficulties maintained in the III degree, and some highlight of IV/IV +. The first section will take us to the summit of Margalida (3241 m), passing through Forca Estasen (3028 m) – Torre de Salenques (3111 m) – First Ressalt Salenques (3127 m) – and Second Salenques Ressalt (3148 m).Now we turn west and climb to the top of the Tempestades Peak (3290 m), Punta Brecha Tempestades (3274m) and the famous Brecha of Tempestades. We only have to climb the Espalda of Aneto (3350m) and culminate the summit of Aneto (3404m).The views throughout the trip are spectacular on both sides of the Pyrenees, and arriving Aneto without finding anyone on the way is priceless.To start the descent, we have to cross the famous Mahoma Bridge and descend to the Forau d’aigualluts to get back to Besurta, at the end of a very long and full day
