Centres for all kinds of shopping

Visiting a shopping centre in Spain gives you an opportunity to access a very wide range of goods and services in a single location. From personal care (hairdressers and beauty centres) to jewellers, high-tech shops where you can get the latest gadgets, or original gift options. Spanish malls also usually include leisure and catering areas. A wide variety of cafés, restaurants, cinemas, and children’s play areas, where you can enjoy a well-earned break between shops.

The diversity of shopping centres in Spain tends to vary according to the city or area. The popular chain of department stores El Corte Inglés, with establishments all over Spain, has an area in its Nuevos Ministerios store (Madrid) entirely devoted to luxury brands.

Outlets: top brands at great prices

There are around thirty shopping centres in Spain which specialise in outlet stores. The great advantage of places like these is that you can buy items from the best Spanish and international brands at greatly reduced prices. These shops combine products from past seasons with specific collections. Your chances of finding a worthwhile bargain are highest in centres like Las Rozas Village, just 15 minutes from Madrid. This is a rather more exclusive outlet centre, with a higher concentration of designers, and convenient services like personal shoppers and special transport from Plaza de Oriente in the city centre. La Roca Village in Barcelona and Sevilla Fashion Outlet are similar centres.
