Senda de Camille
Trekking through the territory of the last indigenous Pyrenean bear.Senda de Camille is a six-stage trek with a circular itinerary of around 100 kilometres. The itinerary of the Camille Trail runs through the Natural Park of the Western Valleys (Aragon) and the National Park of the Pyrenees (French departments of the High Pyrenees and Atlantic Pyrenees) territory that was the habitat of the Camille bear, one of the last bear specimens autochthonous of the Pyrenees. We will follow the steps of the old bear walking over some of the most beautiful and spectacular places of its territory. Beeches and fir forests, subalpine pastures and mounts, slender peaks, valleys and ibones (mountain lakes) made by the action of the glaciers that no doubt left a mark. Muntania proposes to make the route in a clockwise direction, starting from the port of Somport, right on the border between Spain and France. At the end of our route we will have enjoyed sites as beautiful as the Ibón de Estanés or the Valley of the Sarrios and contemplated as spectacular peaks as the Petrachema and the Needles of Ansabere. The lodging is always in mountain huts, except the night of Lescún that is in a gite.PROGRAMME:- Day 1. Trip to Somport. Group meeting in the Aysa Hostel - Day 2. Hostel Aysa in Somport - Arlet Mountain Hut 19 km. + 1.150 m. - 780 m. Time: 6-7h- Day 3. Arlet Hut - Lescun 19,5 km. + 520 m. - 1.640 m. Time: 7-8h- Day 4. Lescun - Linza Muntain Hut 17 km. + 1.290 m.- 790 m. Time: 7h- Day 5. Linza Hut - Gabardito Hut 23 km. + 1.640m. – 1.600 m. Time: 10h. There is the option to make this last ascent by vehicle for those who need it (please consult).- Day 6. Gabardito Hut - Lizara Hut. Optional ascent to Bisaurín Peak 10 km. + 700m. – 546 m. Time: 3-4h. +- 700m if we ascent the Bisaurin.- Day 7. Refugio de Lizara - Somport 17 km. + 1.060m. -960 m. Time: 6-7h
