Balneario Baños de Montemayor spa

The Baños de Montemayor spa is located in Baños de Montemayor, a town in Caceres in the north of Extremadura, and a must-see in the Ruta de la Plata. The spa's is Roman in origin, and its waters have been used since they were discovered in the 2nd century AD due to their excellent mineral-medicinal properties. At present, the spa features two buildings housing modern facilities with the thermal pools next to ancient Roman baths.
