Nearby are the mud baths and the salt mines which are in the Salinas Nature Park and the Arenales (Sand stretches) of San Pedro del Pinatar. This is the area where the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea meet.

A rarely frequented spot, the beach has a port with a few fishing boats moored at the dock. The only building that can be seen is a rural house to the left of the beach. Rather long and the colour of the sand is clayey.
