Beach: Peñarrubia

This is a very well sheltered beach, a common characteristic of nudist beaches. Surrounded by tall cliffs. It is situated in the outskirts of Gijón, but close to the centre; the area has hardly any buildings, apart from the odd house in the hills.

The beach is surrounded by rocky cuts and small single family houses. There is a great deal of pine trees that give this cove a very natural feel. Towards the bottom of the beach there are many stones but they do not get in the way of the soft sand. Quite a peaceful area.

Surrounded by high cliffs, access is by the steps situated in the centre. It is one of the longest in this area of cliffs. In the past, it was a great place for fishing. Its beauty remains intact.

It is right beside the port, the sand is more compact than on the other beaches and there is a large breakwater which holds back the force of the waves, ideal for swimming.

It is a beautiful beach with fine golden sand and crystal clear waters. The scenery is truly beautiful.

Fabulous beach situated next to Torimbia Beach, which although it is also a nudist beach, you can also sunbathe in bikini or swimsuit. Together the two beaches form the shape of a shell. The views enjoyed from the cliffs are simply breathtaking. It is also allowed to be wearing a bathing suit.
