Caracol Tower

It is the only thing that remains of an elegant, palatial Medieval residence of the XV century.Destroyed by the English in the War of Independence.What remains of the former Castillo de la Mota of Gothic/Renaissance transition is the Torreón del Caracol, today a Tourism Parador.On the inside, on the main floor, there is Mudejar armour that belonged to the Covent of San Román del Valle, that has also disappeared.
