The Tibidabo mountain is the highest peak in Barcelona. It is located in the Collserola Nature Reserve and offers spectacular panoramic views over the city. It has an amusement park, extensive green areas, bar and café zone and numerous viewing points.
Tibidabo mountain is very near the metropolitan area –about 15 minutes away– and is a green space which is well worth visiting to enjoy the natural setting or to spend a pleasant evening in its bar and café area. It offers spectacular views over Barcelona from its various different viewing points. Two in particular are highly recommended: the one at the Tibidabo Amusement Park; and the Torre de Collserola, designed by Norman Foster to mark the celebration of the 1992 Olympic Games. Another option is to either stroll or bicycle along the promenade known as the Carretera de las Aguas, a simple walk which offers views of the city. The area has other points of interest such as the modernist building of the church of El Sagrado Corazón, and the CosmoCaixa Science Museum.
